Man DROWNS in a Freak Accident as Horrified Bystanders Rush to the Spot! You WON’T Believe How this 89 Year Old Man DIED On His BIRTHDAY!

This incident happened in Viera, a town which is situated about 40 miles southeast of Orlando, Florida. A jolly good octogenarian named Robert Dreyer was venturing around the town of Viera on his 89th birthday.
Suddenly, Mr. Dreyer seemed to have lost control of his car and divagated off the road to hit a fire hydrant at about 10 AM here Wednesday Morning

Everything was fine till then, being a good citizen Robert got out of his car to check the Damage. It was then when the unthinkable happened

Water rushed out of the fire hydrant and a 6 foot-deep hole was created as a result of the water pressure. Poor Mr. Dreyer who was out of his car examining the damage was standing on the wrong spot at the wrong time. He got sucked into the hole all of a sudden

Horrified bystanders and motorists pulled over and rushed to the spot hoping to save the poor 89 year old. Edward Cunningham was one amongst the motorist who tried to save Mr.Dreyer from drowning.According to him, the water pressure was “pushing [him] out of the hole, despite him weighing 220 pounds. The bystanders saw Mr.Dreyer being sucked into the hole.
Soon, other motorists stopped by and finally they were able to pull the Octogenarian out of the hole but not before the poor fellow’s heart stopped breathing as a result of being in the mud hole for about 4 minutes.

Paramedics rushed into the spot and took Mr. Dreyer to the nearby Viera Hospital but unfortunately he was pronounced dead.

The horrified witnesses narrated what they saw. One witness named Pedro Rodriguez later told that “the water pressure was so strong that it sucked Mr Dreyer in and sucked him into the hole.”According to the Police the intense water pressure was occurred due to the damage caused to the hydrant in the accident.
Florida Highway Patrol Lieutenant Channing Taylor confirmed that the accident damaged the safety valve of the Hydrant leading to the fatal situation.Car hit the hydrant “the right way.” “Usually, the fire hydrants will break off and they won’t spew water,” Taylor explained. “They have safety valves in place, but if you hit something the right way, the safety doesn’t work.”

Taylor also tried to explain what must have happened after the impact. “The water started erupting from the fire hydrant, as a result there was a divot in the space where the fire hydrant used to be and right adjacent to driver’s door.

According to sources, an investigation has been launched into the fatal accident after he was taken into the Viera Hospital where despite best attempts the hospital staff was unable to retrieve him. According to another source; the investigators believe that Mr. Dreyer might have had a medical episode just before or after the impact with the hydrant.
