kWhether you love animals or not, whether you’re a dog or a cat person, whether you’re a humanitarian or not, you’ve got to admit, there’s no such thing as cute and adorable than a rescue dog. Not only they’re man’s best friend, but now they’re also saving lives in situations where people just aren’t cutting it.
Be it their ability to catch someone’s scent, their relentlessness or the fact that they’re so brave; whichever of those it is, they’re undeniably doing a service for all of us, one that we will never be able to fully repay them.
Frida is the name of the dog that’s in everyone’s mind I bet: the latin-american rescue dog with over 30 confirmed findings of folks trapped under the buildings after the earthquake in Mexico City last week.
Even more so than this, she has become a symbol of hope for all people, all people waiting to be found and all of those looking out after their loved ones. Frida works intensely even today with the rescuers, in order to get everyone out there safely. Of course, not everyone can be saved, but to this dog, there’s always room for trying.
And it is that when you see her, you inmediatly get the feeling of seeing a hero:
Albeit not a human hero, but a hero for humankind alas. Either this, or someone really thought of making it true: by turning Frida the dog into Frida the Keychain, the shirt of even the Stuffed Animal. Such a genius strategy couldn’t ever be topped by anything else than by saying: everything will be doned, both to Frida and the Rescuers at Mexico City.
The price is about 120 pesos, and it’s supposed to go all for the Rescuers at Mexico City. These keychains aren’t only honoring some of the bravest folks out there in Mexico, but pretty much also paying for their work, since they can’t be working while their doing their job as Moles, which is what mexicans call these rescuers ever since the 20 year old earthquake happened. If anything, the cost of these keychains could be going directly to save YOUR LIFE.
